Admissions

For many individuals, the process of starting treatment in hopes of recovering from an opioid addiction can be one that is often ripe with worry. At Claymont Comprehensive Treatment Center, we put forth the effort to make sure that this process is as worry-free as possible by making our admissions process streamlined and efficient. Our staff of highly trained and helpful admissions counselors are on hand to walk you or your loved one through the intake process, and we are willing to answer any questions that you may have about our high quality medication assisted treatment.

Men and women who are aged 18 or older and have been dependent upon opioids for at least one year can contact our center to be guided through the process of admissions. During this call, once our admissions staff has determined that your or your loved one’s needs can be met through our programming, an intake appointment can be scheduled.

Prospective patients should report to our center on the day of their intake appointment in a state of withdrawal and allot 2 to 4 hours to complete all paperwork. Prospective patients should expect to complete the following with members of our staff:

  • Show valid proof of identification in the form of a passport, Driver’s license, or state ID.
  • Submit payment for intake.
  • Provide documentation if transferring from another detox program or treatment provider. (This information can be sent to our center prior to the day of intake.)
  • Prospective female patients will be given a pregnancy test.
  • Supply a sample of urine for a drug screen.
  • Complete a TB test if one has not been completed in the last 2 years.
  • Complete a physical with one of our doctors.

Pregnant patients should not be in a state of withdrawal when they come to our center and will be required to sign a release of information to coordinate care with their OB/GYN. If a pregnant patient is not receiving prenatal care, our staff can provide a referral to an OB/GYN. Additionally, if a prospective patient is on probation, his or her probation officer must provide consent for that individual to receive our services.

Another important bit of information for prospective patients to keep in mind is the fact that no patient is guaranteed medication on their first day of treatment. This decision is made on a case-by-case basis by one of our experienced doctors. However, upon completion of an intake, the treatment planning process begins and patients will then become familiar with their treatment plans of action during their time with us.

If you or someone you care about is in need of top-notch treatment that is proven effective in treating opioid addiction, your search is over. Claymont Comprehensive Treatment Center is where the chains of addiction are broken and lives are changed. Call us today to schedule your intake and let the future begin now.
